Who are you?
If
you have prayed to ask Christ to be the Forgiver and Leader of your life, this
is what the Bible says about you:
1.
You are called of God.
29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the
likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And
those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those
he justified, he also glorified.
Romans 8:29-30NIV
2.
You are redeemed.
4But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born
under law, 5to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full
rights of sons.
Galatians 4:4-5NIV
13Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us,
for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”
Galatians 3:13NIV
20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
1 Corinthians 6:20NIV
3.
You are reconciled to God.
19that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting
men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of
reconciliation. 20We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though
God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be
reconciled to God. 21God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so
that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:19-21NIV
4.
You are friends of God because of Christ’s sacrifice.
2He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also
for the sins of the whole world.
1 John 2:2NIV
5.
You are forgiven of all sins.
13You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was
not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ. He forgave all our sins.
Colossians 2:13NLT
6.
You are joined to Christ.
4 And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the
Father, now we also may live new lives. 5Since we have been united
with him in his death, we will also be raised as he was. 6Our old
sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our
lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. 7For when we died with Christ
we were set free from the power of sin. 8And since we died with
Christ, we know we will also share his new life.
Romans 6:4-8NLT
7.
You are freed from the Law.
14having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against
us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.
Colossians 2:14NIV
25Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the
law.
Galatians 3:25NIV
8.
You are a child of God.
2Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet
been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we
shall see him as he is.
1 John 3:2NIV
9.
You are adopted by God.
4For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and
blameless in his sight. In love 5he predestined us to be adopted as
his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.
Ephesians 1:4-5NIV
10.
You are accepted by God.
1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:1NIV
12giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the
inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.
Colossians 1:12NIV
11.
You are declared righteous (justified) by faith.
1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith,
we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:1NIV
12.
You are brought near to God.
13But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought
near through the blood of Christ.
Ephesians 2:13NIV
13.
You are delivered from darkness.
13For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into
the kingdom of the Son he loves.
Colossians 1:13NIV
14.
You are a member of the kingdom.
13For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into
the kingdom of the Son he loves.
Colossians 1:13NIV
15.
You are placed on the Rock.
24“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into
practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25The
rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that
house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26But
everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is
like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27The rain came down,
the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell
with a great crash.”
Matthew 7:24-27NIV
16.
You are a gift to Christ from God.
6“I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They
were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. 7Now
they know that everything you have given me comes from you. 8For I
gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty
that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. 9I pray for
them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they
are yours.
John 17:6-9NIV
9This happened so that the words he had spoken would be fulfilled: “I
have not lost one of those you gave me.”
John 18:9NIV
17.
You are separated from the world and joined to Christ.
11When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a
physical procedure. It was a spiritual procedure—the cutting away of your
sinful nature.
Colossians 2:11NLT
18.
You are a holy priesthood.
5And now God is building you, as living stones, into his spiritual temple.
What’s more, you are God’s holy priests, who offer the spiritual sacrifices
that please him because of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 2:5NLT
9But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are a kingdom
of priests, God’s holy nation, his very own possession. This is so you can
show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his
wonderful light.
1 Peter 2:9NLT
19.
You are chosen by God.
9But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people
belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of
darkness into his wonderful light. 1 Peter 2:9NIV
20.
You are a heavenly citizen.
20But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from
there, the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 3:20NIV
21.
You are a member of God’s household.
19Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow
citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household.
Ephesians 2:19NIV
22.
You are one with other believers.
11I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world,
and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your
name—the name you gave me—so that they may be one as we are one.
John 17:11NIV
21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in
you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one
as we are one: 23I in them and you in me. May they be brought to
complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even
as you have loved me.
John 17:21-23NIV
23.
You are partners with Christ.
9God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our
Lord, is faithful.
1 Corinthians 1:9NIV
24.
You are able to have access to God.
2through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we
now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
Romans 5:2NIV
18For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
Ephesians 2:18NIV
19Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy
Place by the blood of Jesus, 20by a new and living way opened for us
through the curtain, that is, his body.
Hebrews 10:19-20NIV
16Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may
receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Hebrews 4:16NIV
25.
You are a recipient of God’s abounding grace.
18Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for
all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that
brings life for all men. 19For just as through the disobedience of
the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one
man the many will be made righteous. 20The law was added so that the
trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more.
Romans 5:18-20NIV
26.
You are an object of God’s love.
16For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that
whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16NKJV
27.
You are a recipient of God’s peace.
1Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with
God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:1NIV
28.
You are an heir to the inheritance of Christ.
18I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that
you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious
inheritance in the saints.
Ephesians 1:18NIV
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great
mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of
Jesus Christ from the dead, 4and into an inheritance that can never
perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you, 1 Peter 1:3-4NIV
29.
You are a light in darkness.
14You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.
Matthew 5:14NIV
8For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as
children of light 9(for the fruit of the light consists in all
goodness, righteousness and truth)
Ephesians 5:8-9NIV
30.
You are united to the Trinity.
“Because he is saved, a person is in God the Father (1 Thess. 1:1), the Father
is in the believer (Eph. 4:6), the believer is in the son (Rom. 8:1), the Son is
in he believer (John 14:20), the believer is in the Spirit (Rom. 8:9), and the
Spirit is in the believer.
1 Corinthians 2:12
31.
You are a member of Christ’s body.
13For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or
Greeks, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
1 Corinthians 12:13NIV
32.
You are part of the bride of Christ.
25Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave
himself up for her 26to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing
with water through the word, 27and to present her to himself as a
radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and
blameless.
Ephesians 5:25-27NIV
7Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the
Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready.

33.
You are a new creation.
17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has
gone, the new has come!
2 Corinthians 5:17NIV
34.
You are given the deposit of the Holy Spirit.
21Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He
anointed us, 22set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in
our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
2 Corinthians 1:21-22NIV
13And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth,
the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a
seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14who is a deposit guaranteeing our
inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the
praise of his glory.
Ephesians 1:13-14NIV
35.
You are assured glorification.
18I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the
glory that will be revealed in us.
Romans 8:18NIV
30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also
justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
Romans 8:30NIV

You are complete in Christ.
9For in Christ the fullness of God lives in a human body, 10and
you are complete through your union with Christ. He is the Lord over every ruler
and authority in the universe.
Colossians 2:9-10NLT
37.
You are given every
spiritual blessing.
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed
us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
