At SBF we understand how difficult it is to be a parent these days. You want your children to learn spiritual values and learn what it means to grow in a relationship with God. But sometimes you don’t know how to do this. You need someone, not to replace you, but to come alongside and help you in this most important responsibility. Our family ministry philosophy is designed to do just that.

All of our environments are engaging and age-appropriate. We believe that if we do our jobs right, kids will be looking forward to coming to church, not dreading it. That’s why in each of our kids environments, we use energetic, fun music, videos, drama, and small group interaction to engage the heart as well as the mind of your children and inspire them to grow in their walk with God. In each of our children’s environments, we send home information and we provide resources for parents to help you reinforce throughout the week what the kids are learning each Sunday.
In addition, we provide a safe environment for children. That’s why we interview and do background checks on each volunteer who works with them.

Where our preschoolers are cared for on Sunday Mornings.
Waumba is the Swahili word for “Creator”. In this environment, the goal is for preschoolers to know that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever. Families are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early so you can register, especially if it's your first time. here our preschoolers are cared for on Sunday Mornings.

Down on UpStreet, our K through 5th grade kids meet friends, talk about God, and participate in worship, Bible stories and small groups. The three basic truths that are taught on UpStreet on Sunday mornings are: I need to make the wise choice, I can trust God no matter what, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Drive is our new Sunday morning environment for 6th-8th graders. They worship with the adults, then move into an age-appropriate small group that engages them with the truth of God’s Word.

KidStuf is where kids bring their parents to learn! KidStuf is a unique program that's energetic and creative, using music, drama, video and more to entertain, inspire, and teach a monthly virtue. At KidStuf, parents learn what the kids will be learning in UpStreet and are given ideas to help them reinforce and encourage that virtue at home. It's designed for kids K-5th grade and their parents, but everyone is welcome.
KidStuf is held on the first Sunday of each month at 11:30 am.
